Some folks claim that ice cubes freeze faster if the trays are filled with hot water, because hot water cools off faster than cold water. What do you think?

Solution 26DQ Heat flows from a body at higher temperature to one at a lower temperature. Therefore, if hot water is put on the trays, they leave heat faster inside the freezer as the freezer is much colder than the hot water.
