On the basis of diffusion considerations, explain why fine pearlite forms for the moderate cooling of austenite through the eutectoid temperature, whereas coarse pearlite is the product for relatively slow cooling rates.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: HETEROSEXUAL PRIVILEGES 1 Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Privileges Natasha Berry Alex Rucker Kristen Davis Kevinnisha Rucker Psychology 233 Section 3 Abstract People seem to have their identity that they can related as their privilege like being straight, gay, bisexual and asexual. Mine on the other hand, is heterosexual which means having a sexual attraction to the opposite sex. People may not understand that being in a heterosexual relationship is a privilege because it’s normal in the society that we live in but there are some things that we take for granted from this privilege. After reading from the textbook and the internet we came across some interesting things that we would like to share. Past Everyone has their own identity that they associated themselves with our may call their own. As for me it is heterosexual orientation. I thought being straight was the normal thing until I got older and started hanging around people of different sexual identities. People with heterosexual SEXUAL ORIENTATION: HETEROSEXUAL PRIVILEGES 2 identity may take this privilege for. We have the right to receive married in the church we grow up in were as a person with a gay identity may not have that right. When they do receive the right to marry will they receive the same benefits as a hetero person For example, being straight the government gives you taxes, employment, Medicare and even being a consumer. I expected this form society because I have being hearing and seeing this all my life but are others that I didn’t expect. I kind of feel sad that people are being treated unfairly because of their sexual identity. Present Knowing that I have to work with other people I put my feeling to the side; so they we could work on this project without any hip up because you know that women have strong opinions. There is always one person that want to take control and be the leader. So I took a backseat until things got out of hand but it never came to that. We had one person that never showed up to any of our meeting we couldn’t not contact her when had to wait until she showed up to class which was kind of hard because we had to listen to other people give their presentation and we didn’t want to be rude. My gender really didn’t affect my learning because must women are open to anything; what I did learn is that men do communicate while in a relationship. Being in a monogamous relationship with a men is what every women want a men to communicate. Men talk so much in a monogamous relationship that it talking turn in a debate. When started to my group about monogamy they were so into finding that they actually was interested in it that when shared it in our presentation. I didn’t think that they would want be to say those things in class but my partners and audience was listening in and I even got feedback from our presentation on what we spoke about. Now that we have shared this with the class, I hope they take our finding and use them in their relationships and the years to come. Women who are educated and SEXUAL ORIENTATION: HETEROSEXUAL PRIVILEGES 3 attractive identify themselves as heterosexual even though they had some experience with both sex sexually. Having a gay identity can be challenging because child bearing is a heterosexual privilege and some point in their life they may want kids to carrying on the family legacy. When this happens it makes ones sexual orientation confusing because one can’t have experience this privilege naturally. So they go out and do something that may cause the relationship to be unhealthy like mistrusting your partner. Most people that has privilege consider as this a religious one because in the Bible it states: “God intended one men to be with one women” and anything different is going against God and should go to hell. Future Now that I have learned a little more about my identity I planned to take it with me and use my finding in the future relationship in my life. For example, I don’t want to have kids but if I am in a committed relationship I should learn how to compromise. Learn that sex goes both ways not just want he wants or not just what I want; putting it up on the calendar makes it more compromising. School and work can get in the way but as long as we maintain the distance for the long hall we will be okay.
