Free Energy and Equilibrium (Section)

The value of Ks for nitrous acid (HN02) at 25 °C is given in Appendix D. (a) Write the chemical equation for the equilibrium that corresponds to K&. (b) By using the value of /fa, calculate A G° for the dissociation of nitrous acid in aqueous solution, (c) What is the value of A G at equilibrium? (d) What is the value of A G when [H+] = 5.0 x 10-2 M, [N02 -] = 6.0 x 10-4 M, and [HN02] = 0.20 M?
