QUESTION:

Problem 1CQ

An object that has a small mass and an object that has a large mass have the same momentum. Which object has the largest kinetic energy?

ANSWER:

Step 1 of 4:

When the two different masses have the same momentum, the object which has smaller mass will have a greater velocity. We know that the object with higher velocity will have greater kinetic energy. Hence the object has smaller mass has greater kinetic energy if the momentum is equal.
