The pressure due the ocean at the bottom of the Marianas Trench can be calculated using the expression for variation of pressure with depth in a fluid which is given by

Where, = density of sea water in kg/m3

             g = acceleration due to gravity in m/s2

             h = depth of the ocean in m

Substituting 1025 kg/m3 for , 9.8 m/s2 and 11103 m for h

                             

                   P = 1.105108 N/m2

Therefore, the pressure due to the ocean at the bottom of the Marianas Trench is 1.105108 N/m2
