If a source is emitting sound of some intensity then n number of sources emitting sound of same intensity will definitely cause increase in sound intensity and intensity emitted by $\eta{}$ identical sources will be $\eta{}\$ times of the single source if interference is not considered.

The expression to find the intensity level of sound is,

$\beta{}$ = (10 d $\beta{}$ ) ${log}_{10}$ ( $\frac{I}{{I}_{\circ{}}}$ )

Here $\beta{}$ is intensity level of sound, $I$ is intensity of sound and ${I}_{\circ{}}$ is reference intensity of sound.

Substitute, 40 dB for $\beta{}$ and ${10}^{-12}$
