One of the allotropes of phosphorus consists of four phosphorus atoms at the corners of a tetrahedron. Draw a Lewis structure for this allotrope that satisfies the octet rule. The molecule can be oxidized to where the oxygen atoms insert between the phosphorus atoms. Draw the Lewis structure of this oxide. Are the POP bonds linear?
