A veterinarians office displayed the following table comparing dog age (in dog years) to human age (in human years). The chart shows that the relationship is fairly linear. a. Draw a line that looks like a best fit to the data. b. Estimate the coordinates and label two points on the line. Use them to find the slope. Interpret the slope in this context. c. Using H for human age and D for dog age, identify which you are using as the independent and which you are using as the dependent variable. d. Generate the equation of your line. e. Use the linear model to determine the human age of a dog that is 17 dog years old. f. Middle age in humans is 4559 years. Use your model equation to find the corresponding middle age in dog years. g. What is the domain for your model?
