When a variable is directly proportional to the product of two or more variables, we say that the variable is jointly proportional to those variables. Express each of the following as an equation. a. x is jointly proportional to y and the square of z. b. V is jointly proportional to l, w, and h. c. w is jointly proportional to the square of x and the cube root of y. d. The volume of a cylinder is jointly proportional to its height and the square of its radius
