It is possible to construct geometric models for factorizations so that you can see the factoring. This idea is developed in Exercises 9596. Copy the figure and cut out the six pieces. Use the pieces to create a geometric model for the factorization 2x2 3x 1 (2x 1)(x 1) by forming a large rectangle using all the pieces.
