Problem 15QQ

Explain answer clearly, with complete sentence and proper essay structure if needed. Describe each of the three hallmarks of science and give an example of how we can see each one in the unfolding of the Copernican revolution.

Step-by-Step Solution:

Solution 15QQ: Step 1 of 3:- The goal is to state the three hallmarks of science and to show how it is culminated with Copernican revolution. The 3 hallmarks of science are, 1) The modern science requires explanation of a physically observed phenomena. 2) It’s progress depends upon the creation and testing of various models which try to explain the natural phenomenons. 3) Finally, the models must make predictions which can be tested and if the fail to predict the natural phenomenons, then they must be banned. Step 2 of 3:- In brief, first we should take all the observed things into consideration and build models or theories according to scientific base. The model or theory must be mathematically consistent and should be explainable with beautiful equations. Then finally, the theory must predict some outcomes which will be tested experimentally. At the end, if the theoretically predicted value does not match with experimental value, then the theory is wrong and ought to be banned.

Step 3 of 3
