(I) A rolling ball slows down because the normal force doesnot pass exactly through the cm of the ball, but passes in frontof the cm. Using Fig. 10-41, show that the torque resulting fromthe normal force (tn = FN in Fig. 10-41) is | of that due tothe frictional force, Tfr = r0F where r0 is the balls radius;that is, show that tn = gTfr.
