(choose chapter or problem)

(Ill) A common effect of surface tension is the ability of aliquid to rise up a narrow tube due to what is called capillaryaction. Show that for a narrow tube of radius r placed in aliquid of density p and surface tension y, the liquid in the tubewill reach a height h = 2y/pgr above the level of the liquidoutside the tube, where g is the gravitational acceleration.Assume that the liquid wets the capillary (the liquid surfaceis vertical at the contact with the inside of the tube).
