Chapter , Problem 68

(choose chapter or problem)

The table gives mass and speed data for the two objects in the fi gure. Concepts: (i) Is it possible for two objects to have diff erent speeds when their momenta have the same amplitude? Explain your answer. (ii) If two objects have the same momenta do they necessarily have the same kinetic energy? Explain. Calculations: Find the magnitude of the momentum and the kinetic energy for each object.
