The work W done in moving an object from (0, 0) to (7, 2) subject to a constant force F is W = F r, where r is the vector with its head at (7, 2) and tail at (0, 0). The units are feet and pounds. (a) Suppose the force F = 10 cos i + 10 sin j. Find W in terms of . (b) Suppose the force F has magnitude of 6 lb and makes an angle of /6 rad with the horizontal, pointing right. Find W in foot-pounds.
