Starting with coke in a blast furnace, the following equilibrium plays a key role in the extraction of iron: C(s) 1 CO2(g) 2CO(g) Use the data in Appendix 3 to calculate the equilibrium constant at 25C and 1000C. Assume H and S to be independent of temperature.
