The height, h, that a liquid will rise in a capillary tube

Chapter 7, Problem 7.20

(choose chapter or problem)

The height, h, that a liquid will rise in a capillary tube is a function of the tube diameter, D, the specific weight of the liquid, \(\gamma\), and the surface tension, \(\sigma\). (See Video V1.10.) Perform a dimensional analysis using both the FLT and MLT systems for basic dimensions. Note: The results should obviously be the same regardless of the system of dimensions used. If your analysis indicates otherwise, go back and check your work, giving particular attention to the required number of reference dimensions.
