Chapter 11, Problem 11.43

(choose chapter or problem)

An ideal gas flows isentropically through a converging–diverging nozzle. At a section in the converging portion of the nozzle, \(A_1= 0.1~\mathrm{ m^2 }\), \(p_1 = 600~\mathrm{ kPa(abs)}\), \(T_1=20~^\circ \mathrm{C}\), and \(\mathrm{Ma_1 = 0.6}\). For section (2) in the diverging part of the nozzle, determine \(A_2, p_2\), and \(T_2\) if \(\mathrm{Ma_2 = 3.0}\) and the gas is air.
