The lateral wall is perfectly insulated with an emissivity of 3 0.3. Assume that all the surfaces are diffuse-gray. (a) Determine the temperature of the upper surface, T2, if its emissivity is 2 0.5. What is the temperature of the lateral wall, T3? (b) If conditions for the furnace floor remain unchanged, but all surfaces are black instead of diffuse-gray, determine T2 and T3. From the diffuse and blackbody enclosure analyses, what can you say about the influence of 2 on your results? A
