The Pay It Forward Model In the movie Pay It Forward, Trevor McKinney, played by Haley Joel Osment, is given a school assignment to think of an idea to change the world and then put it into action. In response to this assignment, Trevor develops a pay it forward project. In this project, anyone who benefits from another persons good deed must do a good deed for three additional people. Each of these three people is then obligated to do a good deed for another three people, and so on.
