In Exercises 8 to 12, use the half-life information from Table 4.11, page 392, to work each exercise. Archeology The Rhind papyrus, named after A. Henry Rhind, contains most of what we know today of ancient Egyptian mathematics. A chemical analysis of a sample from the papyrus has shown that it contains approximately 75% of its original carbon-14. Estimate the age of the Rhind papyrus.
