Intro to Statistics 6.1 & 6.2 Normal Probability Distribution In chapter 5 we learned about Probability Distribution. We calculated the mean, variance and standard deviation for Probability Distribution. We also learned about Binomial Probability Distributions and calculated the mean, variance and standard deviation of the binomial probability distribution. There is a relationship between probability and the area under the Normal Distribution curve (graph). 6.1 & 6.2 Normal Probability Distributions If a continuous random variable has a distribution with a graph that is symmetric and bell-shaped and it can be described by the equation we say that it has a normal distribution. Equation: Y= (e^-1/2((x-u)/σ0^2) / σ√2π Th
