Determine the upward applied force, in lbf, required to accelerate a 4.5-lb model rocket vertically upward, as shown in Fig. P1.15, with an acceleration of 3g's. The only other significant force acting on the rocket is gravity, and \(1 \mathrm{~g}=32.2 \mathrm{ft} / \mathrm{s}^2\).
