Show that it is only possible to place one isolated proton in an ordinary empty coffee cup by considering the following situation. Assume the first proton is fixed at the bottom of the cup. Determine the distance directly above this proton where a second proton would be in equilibrium. Compare this distance to the depth of an ordinary coffee cup to complete the argument.
