Chapter 13, Problem 13.1.51

(choose chapter or problem)

In spherical coordinates, the 3-dimensional form of Helmholtzs partial differential equation is where the Laplacian is given in (2). Proceed as in Example 1 but use and the separation constant to show that the radial dependence of the solution u is define by the equation . Solve this differential equation.
