Chapter 12, Problem 20P

(choose chapter or problem)

An equimolar mixture of helium and carbon dioxide enters an insulated nozzle at \(260^{\circ} \mathrm{F}\), 5 atm, 100 ft/s and expands isentropically to a pressure of 3.24 atm. Determine the temperature, in \({ }^{\circ} \mathrm{F}\), and the velocity, in ft/s, at the nozzle exit. Neglect potential energy effects.
