Working with the Equilibrium ConstantOctane (C8H18) burns
Chapter 14, Problem 34P(choose chapter or problem)
Octane (\(\mathrm{C}_{8} \mathrm{H}_{18}\)) burns with air to form an equilibrium mixture of \(\mathrm{CO}_{2}\), \(\mathrm{H}_{2}\), CO, \(\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}\)(g), and \(\mathrm{N}_{2}\) at 1700 K, 1 atm. Determine the composition of the products, in kmol per kmol of fuel, for an equivalence ratio of 1.2.
