The triangle inequality for absolute value states that for all real numbers a and b,|a+b|| a|+|b|. Use the recursive denition of summation, the triangle inequality, the denitionofabsolutevalue, andmathematical induction to prove that for all positive integers n, ifa1,a2,...,an are real numbers, then n i=1 ai n i=1 |ai|.
