Chapter , Problem 2

(choose chapter or problem)

Suppose that \(X_{1}, X_{2}, \ldots, X_{n}\) are independent U[0, 1] random variables.

a. Sketch F(x) and the standard deviation of \(F_{n}(x)\).

b. Generate many samples of size 16 on a computer; for each sample, plot \(F_{n}(x)\) and \(F_{n}(x)-F(x)\). Relate what you see to your answer to (a).
