The isotope 110 47Ag is created by irradiation of a sample

Chapter 43, Problem 43.5

(choose chapter or problem)

The most common isotope of boron is \(_5^{11}\mathrm{\ B}\). (a) Determine the total binding energy of \(_5^{11}\mathrm{\ B}\) from Table 43.2 in Section 43.1. (b) Calculate this binding energy from Eq. (43.11). (Why is the fifth term zero?) Compare to the result you obtained in part (a). What is the percent difference? Compare the accuracy of Eq. (43.11) for 11 5B to its accuracy for \({ }_{28}^{62} \mathrm{Ni}\) (see Example 43.4).
