(choose chapter or problem)

Recall 2.2.11, 2.3.17, and 2.4.13 concerning the resistance of an electrical component. Suppose that ve of the components are used in an electrical circuit so that the total resistance is the sum of the ve individual resistances. Furthermore, suppose that it is reasonable to assume that the resistances of the ve components are independent of each other. What will be the expected value and the standard deviation of the total resistance?
