(a) If 20 random numbers are generated, what are the expectation and variance of the number of them that lie in each of the four intervals [0.00,0.30), [0.30,0.50), [0 .50,0.75), and [0.75,1.00)? (b) What is the probability that exactly ve numbers lie in each of the four intervals?
