An experimenter measures the failure times of a random sample of 25 components. The sample average is 53.43 hours and the sample standard deviation is 3.93 hours. Use a hypothesis test to determine whether there is sufcient evidence for the experimenter to conclude that the average failure time of the components is at least 50 hours.
