Consider the design of a two-sample experiment to compare two medical treatments on volunteers. If there is a strong carry-over effect from one treatment to the other, then: A. A paired design is preferable to an independent samples design. B. A paired design in which each volunteer takes both treatments should not be adopted. C. The test will have little sensitivity. D. A paired design can be implemented as long as there is appropriate randomization. E. None of the above.
