Biaxial Nanowire Tests An experimenter measured the Youngs

Chapter 11, Problem 11.5.1

(choose chapter or problem)

Biaxial Nanowire Tests An experimenter measured the Youngs modulus values of silicon carbidesilica biaxial nanowires. These synthesized nanowires are potentially useful for high-strength composites in which mechanical properties are critical. DS 11.5.1 gives a completely randomized design consisting of the Youngs modulus measurements for samples of nanowires of four different types. Perform hand calculations to investigate whether there are any signicant differences in the average Youngs modulus of the four different types of nanowire.
