Suppose that k and n are integers with 1 ::s k < n. Prove the hexagon identity (n - I ) ( n ) (n + I ) = (n - I ) ( n ) (n + I ) k - I k + 1 k k k - I k + I' which relates terms in Pascal's triangle that form a hexagon.
