(Source: National Association of Chain Drug Stores) (a) Use a system of equations to find the equation of the parabola that passes through the points. Let represent the year, with corresponding to 2002. Solve the system using matrices. (b) Use a graphing utility to graph the parabola and plot the data points. (c) Use the equation in part (a) to estimate the average retail prices in 2005, 2010, and 2015. (d) Are your estimates in part (c) reasonable? Explain.
