Chapter 21, Problem 21-69

(choose chapter or problem)

The top has a mass of 90 g, a center of mass at G, and a radius of gyration k = 18 mm about its axis of symmetry. About any transverse axis acting through point O the radius of gyration is \(k_{t} = 35 \ mm\). If the top is connected to a ball-and-socket joint at O and the precession is \(\omega_{p} = 0.5 \ rad/s\), determine the spin \(\boldsymbol{\omega}_{s}\).
