Using Parametric Equations in Geometry Show that the point on C is equal to (a) (b)

Chapter 6, Problem 6.1.1.234

(choose chapter or problem)

Exercises 71–73 refer to the graph C of the parametric equations

\(x=t c+(1-t) a, \quad y=t d+(1-t) b\)

where \(P_{1}(a, b) \text { and } P_{2}(c, d)\) are two fixed points

Using Parametric Equations in Geometry Show that the point P(x,y) on C is equal to

(a) \(P_{1}(a, b) \text { when } t=0 \)

(b) \(P_{2}(c, d) \text { when } t=1\)
