(choose chapter or problem)

Problem 114HP

A cylinder/piston contains air under ambient conditions 100 kPa and 20°C with a volume of 0.3 m3. The air is compressed to 800 kPa in a reversible polytropic process with exponent n = 1.2, after which it is expanded back to 100 kPa in a reversible adiabatic process. Show the two processes in Pv and Ts diagrams, and determine the final temperature and the net work.
