For Exercises 37 and 38, refer to Figure 4(c) on page 39, which shows a graph of the equation F 32. The equation relates temperature C on the Celsius scale to temperature F on the Fahrenheit scale. [In Figure 4(c), C is the variable for the horizontal axis and F is the variable for the vertical axis.](a) Use Figure 4(c) to estimate (to the nearest 5 degrees) the Celsius temperature corresponding to 0 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale. When you do this, which intercept are you looking at, the C-intercept or the F-intercept? (b) Use the equation F 32 to give the exact temperature on the Celsius scale corresponding to 0 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale. 3
