Problem 67GP

A person has a reasonable chance of surviving an automobile crash if the deceleration is no more than 30 “g’s.” Calculate the force on a 70-kg person undergoing this acceleration. What distance is traveled if the person is brought to rest at this rate from 100 km/h?

ANSWER:

SOLUTION: Step 1 of 3 when the Froghopper is at rest then the two forces acting on this. They are weight of the froghopper acts vertically downward due to gravitational pull of earth and froghopper is having contact with ground so one contact force exerts is called normal force which exerted by the ground on the froghopper and the direction of this force is opposite to the weight. Which is also called pushing force when the Froghopper is jumping then the normal force acting on the froghopper is greater than the weight of the froghopper
