Chapter 23, Problem 23.67

(choose chapter or problem)

Chromium(III), like cobalt(III), has a coordination number of 6 in many of its complex ions. Before Alfred Werner, in the 1890s, established the idea of a complex ion, coordination compounds had traditional formulas. Compounds are known that have the traditional formula CrCl3?nNH3, where n 5 3 to 6. Which of the compounds has an electrical conductivity in aqueous solution similar to that of an equimolar NaCl solution?
