Transition from a laminar to a turbulent boundary layer occurs between the Reynolds

Chapter 9, Problem 9.43

(choose chapter or problem)

Transition from a laminar to a turbulent boundary layer occurs between the Reynolds numbers of Rex = 105 and Rex = 3 X I 06 . The thickness of the turbulent boundary layer based on the distance from the leading edge is 8 = 0.16x/(Rex) 117 Find the ratio of the thickness of the laminar boundary layer at the beginning of transition to the thickness of the turbulent boundary layer at the end of transition.
