Replace the dependent voltage source in the circuit of Fig. 4.79 with a dependent current source oriented such that the arrow points upward. The controlling expression 0.1 \(v_1\) remains unchanged. The value \(V_2\) is zero. (a) Determine the total number of simultaneous equations required to obtain the power dissipated by the \(40\ \Omega\) resistor if nodal analysis is employed. (b) Is mesh analysis preferred instead? Explain.
