Chapter 9, Problem 22

(choose chapter or problem)

The condition for critical damping in an RLC circuit is that the resonant frequency \(\omega_0\) and the exponential damping factor α are equal. This leads to the relationship \(L = 4R^2C\), which implies that \(1\ H = 1\ \Omega^2 \cdot F\). Verify this equivalence by breaking down each of the three units to fundamental SI units (see Chap. 2).
