912 A particle moves with a velocity of v(t) m/s along ans-axis. Find the displacement

Chapter 5, Problem 12

(choose chapter or problem)

A particle moves with a velocity of \(v(t) \ \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}\) along an s-axis. Find the displacement and the distance traveled by the particle during the given time interval.

(a) \(v(t)=t-\sqrt{t} ; \ 0 \leq t \leq 4\)

(b) \(v(t)=\frac{1}{\sqrt{t+1}} ; \ 0 \leq t \leq 3\)

Equation Transcription:

v(t) m/s

v(t) = t - ; 0  t  4

v(t) = ; 0  t  3

Text Transcription:

v(t) m/s

v(t) = t - sqrt t; 0 leq t leq 4

v(t) = 1/sqrt t + 1; 0 leq t leq 3
