By using Minitab > Choose Stat regression Fitted line plot > We can choose linear, quadratic and logarithmic in fitted line plot. > Choose quadratic ok on the graph option Step 2 : The quadratic model is D = -50597784 + 51141*y - 12.91*y 2 Here, D is the dependent variable which indicates the number of deaths and Y is the independent variable which indicates the year. The quadratic model model fits the data better R-squared value 65.2%. We can say that 65.2% of variation in deaths due to motor crashes .
