Chapter 14, Problem 14.3(a)

(choose chapter or problem)

A solution of an unknown component of a biological sample when placed in an absorption cell of path length \(1.00 \mathrm{~cm}\) transmits 20.1 per cent of light of \(340 \mathrm{~nm}\) incident upon it. If the concentration of the component is \(0.111 \mathrm{mmol} \mathrm{dm}^{-3}\), what is the molar absorption coefficient?
