Here we have to write  the formula of each tantalum compound whose unit cell is depicted below:

Step 1

Formula of unit cell A:-

Unit cell A contains one Ta atom and ⅛ Ta atoms at 8 corners.

The number of Ta atoms in the unit cell can be calculated as = 1 1 + ⅛ 8 = 2 atoms

Here 1 N atom is present in the cell and ¼ N atom is present at 4 edges.

Thus the number of N atoms in the unit cell can be calculated as =  1 1 + ¼  4 = 2 atoms

From the above calculation it has been found that the ratio of Ta and N atom is same i.e 1:1.

Thus the formula of tantalum compound is TaN.
